“For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” Isaiah 57:15
Abba, Lord Father, you are Just, Merciful and Holy God whose dwelling is in the highest of heavens. You do not have beginning of days nor end of time. You are the God who made the universe and all living and non-living things. You are the Lord of heavens and earth. No human hands can serve you and worship you where it will seem you needed anything from them. Indeed, you need nothing Lord, for you are complete and perfect and you sustain all life, breath and all things in all of your creation. However, it is astonishing that you are willing and desiring to dwell and remain in every heart whose spirit is contrite and humble. It is unbelievable how a God whose throne is the heavens and his footstool is on earth and still reside in weak and fragile vessels like us. Thank you, Lord, your grace is sufficient to us for your strength is made perfect in our infirmities. We do not lose heart, though our bodies are gradually perishing, you are renewing our soul day by day! It is your words of Truth and your Holy Spirit together that you bestowed on us that are at work in our souls, in our inner personality. They are like mirror enabling us to behold your glory and transform us into your likeness from glory to glory. Dear Lord, please continue to dwell in our hearts and in our midst. We need you! We love you! Embrace us and strengthen us for your namesake. Amen.
