“My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” Psalms 121:2

Abba, dear Lord, who deeply cares for us. We are pilgrims journeying in this strange land called the world. We are not of the world. Our home is heaven with you our Lord as our Father and King. We travel in this world, with strange people, with strange ways. Their ways are not our ways. The worldly strive for material things. Their desire and satisfaction come from the things that last which are in the world. You Lord told us to strive for holiness. You lead our way of life towards righteousness. Our desires are for the things not seen by our eyes but are seen by our hearts. In the world we experience tribulations. Trials and temptations come our ways daily. If we live just like the ordinary people of the world, we cannot have peace. We shall be anxious about all things. Satisfaction will always be temporary and emptiness follows shortly. Desire though fulfilled will always be short of something, and wants become unending. You oh Lord, taught us not to worry about anything, but ask you for things we need in our journey. We are now stepping in our most holy faith. We ask you in prayer, to provide us your help against the wicked ways of this world, against the temptations that come our ways. Lord, protect us from evil. Heal us sins and heal us from sickness inflicted by Satan in our body and in our soul. Lord, we trust in you because it is you who created the heavens and the earth. Yes Lord, nothing is impossible to you. Our confidence is in you. We do not fear, because you are on our side. We commit ourselves in your mighty hand. Amen.
