“For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” Galatians 5:13
Abba, Lord God whose love freed us from slavery where we serve only Satan while disobeying your commands. Our liberty from sin commands us to submit ourselves to serve one another in love. Freedom is when we abide by your commands. Lord, by your grace you loved and saved us. Only if we serve one another do we preserve the freedom we now enjoy. Your love motivates us to obey you and our love which fills our hearts moves us to serve one another. Freedom gives us the joy and happiness and love which are the fruit of your spirit that dwells in us. We cannot do otherwise but share the outpouring of love in hearts by serving others. If we do not love and serve one another, we become selfish and desire to fill the emptiness in us by using others and getting from others to satisfy opur desire. The desire to fill us becomes unending. One desire fulfilled followed by another desire to fulfill. Thus, we become enslaved with the desire to fill our emptiness. And lo and behold, we are still slave to the desires of the flesh. With your love, oh, Lord we are complete. With you in us, we desire nothing else. Lord, we ask you to not leave us. We trust that you will be with us today and everyday to satisfy our souls with your everlasting love. Amen
