“I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.” Psalms 3:5
Abba, our God gracious and compassionate, indeed, a restful night is a blessing for us. We ought to give you thanks and praises for sustaining us each morning. It gives us understanding that every new day you bestow us is another new blank page of our lives where holiness should be written in it. Lord, thank you for saving us from the power of darkness. Thank you for the grace of your love which embraces us every morning and gives us light of hope and warmth of love to pursue your will of perfecting us in our spiritual life. Father, we also pray for those who lie down in their bed, yet, sleep is rare due to pains that afflict their bodies and spirit. Touch them with your healing hands and refresh their hope. We also pray for those who cannot sleep because of the problems that are troubling their minds. May they find perfect peace in you through trusting and casting their worries to you. Lord, may we be fruitful in every step we take as propagators of the seeds of kingdom. May each word we say be our special gift we could give to others which will encourage them to join us in giving praise and honor to the Noble name you have given us. Amen.
