If you do your job well, you will work for a ruler and never be a slave. (Proverbs 22:29 CEV)
It is neither mere luck nor accident that somebody rose from the ranks and reached the top. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication and prayers to achieve success. Success comes from the Lord. Without God, we can do nothing. With God, we can do everything, even things which we thought we cannot do. We are all stewards in one way or another. We are accounted to someone somehow. If we do good and are faithful in the things we are entrusted with, we shall receive commendations, favor and respect from our peers and from those whom we serve. Sincerity, faithfulness and loyalty will have its rewards. We shall be known by the least and by the greatest. We shall sit with the rulers and not serve as slaves. Joseph the dreamer was hated by his brothers, left dead in a well and sold as a slave in Egypt. Because he was right with God, he was blessed. His righteousness led him to success after success. From being a slave, he became the Prime Minister of Egypt. This is the true story of a faithful servant of God, from rags to riches. You can have the same fate as that of Joseph. Serve the Lord faithfully and serve your masters as you serve the Lord.
