For I know your willingness, about which I boast of you to the Macedonians, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has stirred up the majority.
2Corinthians 9:2 NKJV
When you give it should be by faith with a willing and happy heart. Giving is a product of our decision. Decisions are based on priorities. Our faith has a lot to do with setting our priorities. Our priority as Christ’s diciples is the advancement of His Kingdom. “Seek ye FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD and His righteousnes and everything shall be added unto you.” If giving for God’s works is your priority then you will give generously. If not, either you give with left-over amount or you don’t give at all. Others see giving to Church as their loss. Faithful Christians see it as a privelege and a sure way to receive God’s abundant blessings. Giving is sowing or planting. When you sow sparingly you will reap sparingly. Give to God abundantly and you will receive from God abundantly. If you pledge your offering, you testify that God will provide. Also, you commit yourself in giving such an amount. God committed and gave Himself for you. Why can’t you commit? I encourage you to make a pledge of your offerings. As in the early Church they prepared their offerings for one year. If they were able to do it, we can also do it in the last days.
