By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. (Hebrews 11:5 NKJV)

Jesus said, “No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.” Likewise, the Bible says, “it is appointed for all men once to die and after that is judgment.” Therefore, we are sure that Enoch was translated or transported to another place on earth and not in heaven. Hebrews 11:13 says that “these all died in faith, not having received the promises but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.” Enoch was a man of faith who also met death. He walked with God three hundred years and died. Certainly Enoch will receive the promise of eternal life in heaven at the appointed time, along with all of us who will keep our faith until our death. Let us walk with God faithfully. It means that we are to follow God and not have God follow us. Waling with God is a pleasant experience. The long journey will become enjoyable, safe, and peaceful if God is with you. You will not be lost nor be distracted by things you see along the way, which may tempt you to go on a different route. He will be your light, your guide. With God, we will learn things while we travel. You can imagine God walking with Adam and Eve in Paradise until they committed sin. Sin separates us from God. It means we walk separately from God. Sin leads us to destruction and death. Avoid sin and walk with God, not only here on earth but also in Paradise in heaven.
