And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. (Mark 11:25 NKJV)
Beloved brothers and sisters, we are approaching the end of this year. Let us take a glance at the footprints we are about to leave behind. We all walked together under the direction of the Holy Spirit. Here is hoping that we did our best. We have exerted our efforts to be acceptable and pleasing to God in the way that we lead our lives. While walked together, there may be times that some of us have bumped against each other, elbow to elbow and heel to heel. But like the teeth that involuntarily bit and hurt the tongue, the tongue cannot do any harm against the teeth. But in our dealings with each other, we find it hard to do so the same especially if it happened to us personally. It is because we say we forgive but deep inside we do not forget the wrongdoings of our offender. Dear Brethren, before we approach the throne of God’s grace, I urge you by the mercies of God to present our bodies, soul and spirit as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. We can do this if we clean our hearts. Agape love can heal all wounds we suffered. Today, many people around the world believe that it is the season of forgiving but for us every day can be a choice to forgive. “Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve your benefits in the stone.”
