But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. (1 Peter 3:16 NLT)
Being members of the Most Holy Church, we have a duty to proclaim the Good News of God’s Agape love to all people – regardless of skin color, language, ethnic beliefs, ideologies or even religious denominations. The Gospel message remains the same, from beginning to end. It is about God’s love for mankind. It crosses all boundaries. To be able to proclaim God’s love, we are to be all things to all men. We have to seek and pursue peace. We should never proclaim love through intimidation, dispute, and debate. We are to speak it with gentleness and respect. We should and must speak the truth in love, but words are not enough. We are to live a life which shows our faithful love for God. Loving God is obeying His Words. Our righteous living in the midst of all troubles and sufferings supports our proclamation. To love God is to also love our brothers and sisters, no matter what. There is no if’s and but’s in Agape love. God’s kind of love is never conditional. In fact, we also have to love our enemies. If we love one another, we prove to everyone that we are true Disciples of Christ. If we live together in love, our message will be very clear for all to understand and accept. As is written, we shall reap great harvest of souls coming back into a relationship with God because “Love never fails.”
