Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV)
We fear a lot of things. We are afraid of preconceived paints that others may inflict on us, either physically or spiritually. We are more afraid if those pains will come from the ones close to us. We also fear the uncertainties which tomorrow brings. We are afraid of being alone, of single-handedly facing the challenges of the future. We fear hunger, sickness, weaknesses, disabilities, failures, rejections, problems, and, most of all, death. Yes, we are afraid of so many things. However, all those fears are easily wiped out with the thought that God our Father is with us to protect us, strengthen us, and to provide our needs. He comforts and leads us by sending His Holy Spirit to us. We do have our share of tears, failures, and problems, but we are able to overcome any and all of them. We are confident we shall prevail because God is true when He gave us His encouragement: life here is full of trouble but He has overcome. Brethren, we have a champion in Christ. We can overcome if we imitate Him. Obey God and we will finish our life’s race. The reward is waiting for the winners at the end, the Crown of Life
