His power will never end; peace will last forever. He will rule David’s kingdom and make it grow strong. He will always rule with honesty and justice. The LORD All-Powerful will make certain that all of this is done. (Isaiah 9:7 CEV)
King David ruled over the Kingdom of God, the nation Israel. From the line of David came Jesus Christ, who now rules God’s people, the Holy Nation – the Most Holy Church of God in Christ Jesus. The reign of our Lord Jesus Christ is characterized by righteousness and prosperity. As the Prince of Peace, His rule will extend from a humble beginning in the Far East, with a small flock of believers, to a worldwide Church. It steadily grows and increases spiritually until all peoples of the earth submit to His glorious reign. Since the Lord is the almighty God, He has the power to make sure that His plan shall come to pass – that the Most Holy shall be exalted for His glory and we shall reign with Him to teach all nations how to worship the only true God.
