Power Point No. 156

  • June 5, 2018

Remind your people to obey the rulers and authorities and not to be rebellious. They must always be ready to do something helpful. (Titus 3:1 CEV)

It is our godly duty to respect and obey our Church Bishops, Elders, as well as the Ministers and the Abiezers. We should obey them and follow their instructions. Do not harm them, say, or think bad things about them. Remember that they are given the power and authority to reprimand, suspend, and even excommunicate those who are disrespectful, disobedient, and rebellious in the Most Holy Church. Even these acts are done out of love: love for the sinning members so that they may see their wrongdoings and change their ways; love for the members so that they may be protected from harm by the sins of others; and, love for the Church, to keep it pure and without blemish. We are taught to love, obey, and cooperate with them. It is our Christian duty to support them by giving back our tithes, supporting them in their mission, and contributing for their and their families’ needs.
