But He replied, It has been written, Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)
Life is a gift from God. Every second and every beat of our heart is a gift from God. Your existence right at this moment, no matter what situation you are now in, it is a gift from God. We should not consider yourself lacking of many things just because you see your fellow have more possessions than you do. Having less does not make us less of a person. It does not make your existence less significant than the others. What matters is, you are using your existence for the purpose it is still given to you. The very purpose of your existence is to live according to the word of God. Yes, if we live according to His words, we are not spending our days but also putting a colorful life into it. My brothers and sisters, we are more blessed. What we have is something incomparable to the material possessions of the people of the world have. What we have is the word of God that will bless us with fullness in each and everyday of our lives; the words that will give us eternal life.
