Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. (Numbers 12:7 NKJV)

In the Old Testament, the most significant victory ever recorded was when God freed Israel after 400 years of bondage in Egypt. Miriam, the prophetess and sister of Moses, declared in a song “the glorious triumph of God”. It prefigured Christ’s glorious triumph in delivering us from our sins when He died on the cross, which in the New Testament is definitely the most significant event. Moses and Christ were called Servants of God. Being called “my servant” is an honor bestowed to both Moses and Christ – but there is a great difference. Moses was appointed by God to be the servant leader to liberate and bring Israel to the Promised Land. “In all My House” refers to Israel. It was the family or nation of God in ancient times. Christ also took on the title “Servant” to liberate and lead the Church, God’s family or household, to the Promised Heaven – but Christ also took on the role of the Son. He is Heir to His Father’s house. He is the head of the house, the Church.

Moses was not called the Son or the heir – but he was faith- ful to all of God’s Family. What more if you are a child of God and Heir of all the riches in His house? Should we not care for our own household? Should we not be loyal and faithful to the house or family we belong? To put it straight, will you leave the house of God, the Most Holy Church and forsake it, considering that you and I are given the greatest honor of being “servants and sons and daughters” of the Most High God? We must all be faithful, care for and love each other, for we have the greatest honor of being heirs to the Kingdom of Heaven!
