But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, your fruits are holy, and the end thereof is life everlasting. (Romans 6:22 Lamsa)
Christ suffered the punishment for our sins. He redeemed us with His blood and cleansed us from our filthiness. In effect, we died and were crucified on the cross with Him. We were resurrected when He rose from the dead, for us to live a new life in Christ. We are now free from sins. It is not our way of life anymore. We are made holy. We are to be Holy just like Christ. He exemplified how to live a holy life, obedient to God until death. Like Him, we shall be glorified. Those who will overcome shall eat the fruit of the tree of life in Paradise.
