“The LORD your God will bless your work and fill your barns with grain. He will bless you in the land that he is giving you. (Deuteronomy 28:8 GNB)
This is a Covenant Promise. If we do our part of the covenant – which is to Love God, first and foremost, and to love our brothers and sisters in Christ – then we shall receive the blessings brought about by the covenant. We shall enjoy the fruits of our labor and become sufficient in our needs: so that we have what we need, when we need them and where we need them. Wherever we are, we shall be blessed with physical and spiritual health. We shall live in peace and happiness. Remember that when God gives us something as a blessing, it will produce joy, peace, and prosperity in us. If it is not from God, it will give us troubles. Many people look for prosperity, happiness, and peace through their own proud ways, believing that they can find them on their own. They may seem to win at the start, but notice that it is for a short while. They all end up as losers. Blessing of a good life only comes from the Lord. Stick to doing your part of the Covenant. Live in the Spirit of Agape to God, to our Church, to our brothers and sisters, and to all men.
