Yet he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make known his might. (Psalms 106:8 Darby)

Physical Israel was saved because God made a Covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It was not because Israel was righteous nor deserving of salvation. It was indeed solely for God’s glory: for the magnification of His name to the people of Israel and to the Gentile world who witnessed His mighty works, love, and mercy. Israel was not able to live up to its part of the Covenant. But since God has promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, He has to fulfill His eternal covenant, the eternal purpose. Thus, He established Spiritual Israel: the Most Holy Church. The type was that of Ismael and Isaac. Prophetically, physical Israel is the son of a slave woman, Agar, while the Church is the son of a free woman, Sarah. It means, Israel became the nation of God due to the Commandments of Moses whereas the Church is God’s nation due to the Commandments of Love through Christ. Israel is the shadow and the Church is the Shiloh. Through the Church in accordance to the eternal purpose, the manifold wisdom and infinite power of God may be known by all the principalities and rulers in the heavenly realm. All must submit to His rule now and forever for the glory of His name. Amen and amen.
