God has spoken once, twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God. (Psalms 62:11 NKJV)
When God has spoken, His words stand to happen. They are irrevocable and undeniable. Once God speaks, we can be confident that what He says will surely happen. When He speaks twice, the more we can trust Him. What if God swore that He will give us our inheritance in heaven as His sole heir, His children, our salvation, and life everlasting? God does not have to swear as there is no one above Him. But to confirm and assure us of our inheritance, He swore by Himself. Brothers and sisters, the power is with our Lord God, our Father, who promised us abundant life here, now in this life, and forever.
