“If the Lord of hosts had not left us offspring, we would have been like Sodom and become like Gomorrah.” (Romans 9:29 ESV)
From the beginning, God waged war against Satan. Satan caused the fall of Adam and Eve to sin. From then on, Satan has tried to destroy the Seed of God kept in the womb of the woman. Eve is the type of the Church. The Church will war against Satan and the seed of Satan will have enmity against the Seed of God. Throughout human history, this war has been going on. Christ, the Seed of God, during His resurrection, defeated Satan. The Seed, who is Christ, is the one preserved to gain victory over Satan. Now being the seeds of God through Christ, we are to gain victory over the seeds of Satan on earth. Through the Church, we, the Children of light, shall triumph over darkness. Good shall prevail over evil. Victory is for us through Christ. Death has no power over the Church. If not because of the Church, we are destined to eternal death. Thanks be to God.
