Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.

2Corinthians 5:9 NKJV
Our greatest end in this life is to be acceptable to Christ. There is nothing more sincere in serving Him if our motive is to please Him. We do not seek the approval of anybody except Christ our Lord whom we are serving. Serving Christ calls for total commitment to Him, in obeying His will and not our will. If this be our aim in life, all that we do is part of our religious duty. Nothing is secular anymore, because in every area of our lives, we seek to be acceptable to Christ. If this be our aim, we do things with utmost care, seriousness and without let up. When we know that what we do will please God, will we be careless, unmindful and lazy? To attain this goal, we have to offer God the best service we can do. Let us serve God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. Let us strive to be holy, cleansed of our sins and be prepared for good works so that God be pleased to use us for His glory. Now is the time to prepare to meet our God. Now He sees us as to how we serve Him. He examines us if we are faithful. And soon, He will reward us. The appointed time will come when we are to be judged according to what we have done in this life. We should look forward to that great event. We should look our best, by doing our best now, so that we be at our best in meeting God’s approval.

Shalom po
