Let Us Pray No. 5

  • January 5, 2017

“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” Matthew 5:44

Abba, Our Father in Heaven, thank you for the forgiveness of our sins. You made us holy that we may seek to be perfectly holy in your name. Today I choose to forgive those who have done us wrong. I will not take revenge to them or to repay evil for evil. Instead, I will forgive them from my heart and even bless them. Please open up opportunities for me to prove my agape love for them. Like your Agape love, you have acted to prove it. The same way Lord, pave the way for us to help them in any way, support them in their desires and not hinder their success. I pray Lord to guide them in their walk, give them the wisdom to do what is right and let them find the way of holiness. Let us deal with them in gently, patiently, kindly and lovingly. If whosoever curse us, Lord, let us have the endurance and patience. If we are persecuted or slandered let us answer them with kind words. I pray Lord that you bless (specify the name/s) and his/her family. I pray that they may have prosperous and peaceful lives. Lord thank you for a clear conscience, and for releasing me from brokenness and heaviness of heart. Father God, I pray that on this day let me be a shining light who reflects your glory that they may know I am your child. This we pray, Amen.
