“And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15
Abba, Father, you alone knows very well the heart of every one of us. You do not judge by the outward appearance but looks at our thoughts and the intentions of our hearts. We praise you for you bestowed in your church Shepherds after your own heart who feed us with your Words that nourish our spirits and our souls. We delight in your words which are manna from heaven and water that refreshes us. Your words of truth enable us to see and walk in the darkness of the night and run our course towards the goal of perfecting holiness during the brightness of day. Lord, we pray for them who give their lives for your sake and for our sakes. They labor in teaching us all that are necessary for our spiritual growth and in proclaiming your message of salvation to the lost because of their love for you and for your Church. We know that they too have problems to face, trials and temptations to overcome, and families to care for. Lord, bless them and their families. Provide for them their needs and establish them in faith so that they may be able to finish their course to the end and be rewarded with the Crown of Righteousness as your good and faithful servants. Pour in them your Holy Spirit to comfort them in times of hardships and the power in preaching your words to the lost words that multitudes of sinners may come to your fold. Lord, we pray that your love abounds in them that we may experience through them your love and care, the Shepherd of our souls. Amen.
