And all Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and sought Him with all their soul; and He was found by them, and the LORD gave them rest all around.

2Chronicles 15:15 NKJV
Why do some Christians leave the Church and abandon their ministry or service which God entrusted them? It is because they are not happy with the Lord! Are you happy in serving God? The Apostle Paul encourages us to “rejoice in the Lord always.” We should always be, continuously happy in serving the Lord. Why should we be happy in the Lord? First we are secured in Him. He loves us greatly and His love abides in us in all situations in life, in bad or good times. Secondly, the Almighty God saves us. He saved us from eternal death and delivered us from the bondage of sin, that of Satan. He still saves us and is a ready help in our times of troubles. Third, we have a full knowledge of Him, our God, and Father, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ. He revealed Himself to us, and we were able to see His magnificent glory. The beauty of His holiness is something to be grateful and joyful about. Fourth, we are happy because of His promises in this life and in heavenly life. You can add more to this list why we should always be happy with the Lord.
How can one be always happy in the Lord? Let us seek God with all our heart and soul. If we seek Him, He will favor us with His presence. He will be with us. The peace of the Lord will be with us, and we shall be truly, genuinely happy. Peace is nowhere to be found except in the Lord. He is the God of peace. Seek Him and serve him wholeheartedly and you will have peace, happiness and security. If your source of peace is not God, they will surely dry-up. On God does not change. He is the true source of joy, happiness and peace. So, don’t worry, be happy… I say, rejoice in the Lord always!
